As the tables on the previous
pages have indicated, Hi-Chem Mag-50 is  remarkably easy to handle compared
to the other alternative alkalis. It is neither toxic nor corrosive
nor abrasive.
Hi-Chem Mag-50 is available as a ready-to-use slurry in bulk,
less-than-truckload bulk, 55 gallon drums, or even 5 gallon pails.
It requires no slaking or dissolving and can be handled in ordinary
tanks, pipes, pumps and valves. If you already installed equipment
to handle other liquid alkalies it should be no trouble at all
to make the switch to Hi-Chem Mag-50. The simple addition of
agitation and/or recirculation in the storage tank to prevent
settling is usually all that is necessary. Incidentally, the
settling rate is very slow so very little agitation is necessary.
